cheating on the diet

So I totally cheated on my yarn diet this weekend.

My Rockin' Sock Club socks have been exempt but then I bought a skein of Silkie Socks that Rock in the Walking on the the Wild Tide colorway, so I could make the Knee-high to a Grasshopper socks into actual knee-highs (it was very cruel of Blue Moon to send only one skein while they taunted you with a knee-high pattern that needed two).

I also bought two skeins of Cascade Venezia Worsted in this gorgeous dark plum to make the Irish Hiking Scarf--like three years after everyone made theirs.

I promised myself I would start cataloging the stash this weekend, or at least take pictures of the in-progress projects and at least find the leftover yarn from projects I had already gifted and sent away without taking a picture. We'll see how that goes since the husband and I will be celebrating 11 years together this same weekend.

Yowza!

CHEATER. While rooting through my yarn the other night looking for a particular skein, I realize that I have so very much more than I will ever in my life have time to do anything with. I need to take pictures.

Ravelry is both a curse and a blessing.

*blinks* That was a completely different language to me. Knit-ese maybe? Or Yarnian?

Heh. I like Yarnian. It's like Narnian, except we worship the lamb instead of the lion.
