I will go see Big Fish, I will!
Jan. 28th, 2004 08:12 pmFrom the Independent:
"So, [for Ewan McGregor] life is good - except for one thing. Eve Mavrakis, McGregor's French wife, has just completed her first screenplay. A dark thriller about "snuff movies", For Love of Art would appear to have the perfect leading role for her husband - a world-weary detective. But, much to his consternation, he is not the actor she has in mind for the part. "She said, 'Do you know who I'd really like to play the lead part? Johnny Depp.' So I said, 'Thank you very much - that's nice!' "

Hunter Thompson "missed the panel because he was having back problems that developed during activities in the marital honeymoon bed."
And this is my honey bunny's hero?!

I think retail broke me, or at least it ate my soul.
With the exception of doodling when I go to restaurants where they give you crayons and encourage patrons to draw on the butcher paper tablecloths, I haven't done any drawing in the last two years.
Listen, kids, keep your souls! Don't work retail!
Currently, I'm very envious of the folks at
pantsketch.
There are too many movies I want to see coming out this summer. I already have tickets to The Matrix Reloaded for a late Thursday show. Down with Love is coming out this Friday (I loved the old Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies when I was younger). Then we having Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean (d00d, the kitsch!). And I don't know why but I kind of want to see Bruce Almighty.
Plus, Raising Victor Vargas, The Good Thief, A Mighty Wind and Holes are already out.

People I don't know but would glomp if given the opportunity and/or if I was completely devoid of shame
Edit: Just wanted to add this is no where near a complete list.

Ewan lurve
Feb. 3rd, 2003 04:58 pmI had my sister over to watch Moulin Rouge since she hadn't seen it before. (She had been putting it off since a friend claimed to have funky LSD-inspired dreams after she saw the movie). I forgot about the chorus of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" playing in the "Can-can" song and the comment about Christian having "big talent".
And speaking of "talent", I have decided I am not fond of the recent trend of no-nudity in Ewan McGregor's films. What happened to his promises of "showing his lightsaber" in Star Wars?! Why was there no nakedness in an obvious bodice ripper like the Serpent's Kiss?!
The tease.
Since I haven't seen Nora yet, I still hope.
