More than one person has told me about Jarate (throwing jars full of piss at your opponent) in the last 24 hours.
What does it say about my character when this becomes THE REASON why I finally bought The Orange Box?!

Should [livejournal.com profile] braisinhussy ever get a gold membership for Xbox Live, I look forward to throwing pee at her.

In other gaming news, I greatly enjoyed the newest Zero Punctuation review. I have no interest in Velvet Assassin but I started squeeing when I realized Yahtzee had used a screencap from Labyrinth.

I also own a slanket. If it weren't for Fanime, I would not be leaving the house this week.

I have currently logged 108 hours of Tales of Vesperia.

It's been so cold recently, I've been hiding under the covers and playing Tales of Vesperia which is so pretty!

I've also been eating copious amounts of noodles since that's the only thing that helps me keep warm.

I'm also taking a break from spinning yarn to finish up all those wool hats I started last winter that I never finished. One day I'll wear my Jayne Hat or finish the "Unoriginal Hat".

Yayz!

I finished Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney the other day.

The demo for Professor Layton and the Curious Village is already up.

It's just the classic "get the 3 wolves and 3 chickens to the other riverbank without anyone getting eaten" puzzle so this might be more like Brain Age with some nice animation (check out the trailer, there are some nicely done cut scenes) than Hotel Dusk. But damn, I want to build a zig-zaggy fence to separate the sheep from pigs, and I also want to know the deal with the ferris wheel chasing our heroes.

In other news, I plan to watch Sweeney Todd tomorrow. Gawd damn it, I will watch it tomorrow. I've been putting it off for weeks (mostly bad weather and the local second-run theater seemed to only screen it at 9.30pm or later) and I feel I can't go visit my local anime store until I've seen it (the sales clerk I usually chat with is a big Alan Rickman fan and has been encouraging me to see Sweeney Todd since forever).

Another reason to love Ace of Cakes: Mary Alice just said, "Operation Cookie Clusterfuck!"
I did not know this but Charm City Cakes sells more than just t-shirts and beanies, they also have drumsticks with the bakery's logo. ZOMG it would be super awesome for the friends who love Food Network AND own the Rock Band drum controller.

After seeing [livejournal.com profile] ziggybecket's awesome Chinese New Year photos, I totally want a new qipao. I really like this one but I think it's because it looks so much like my Grandmother's when I see pictures of her from the seventies. And this one looks a lot like my prom dress. Shhhh! I know I already have a gorgeous red qipao in my closet.

Somewhere along the line I graduated from being an eyeshadow whore to a cream eyeliner whore. I can't stop coveting this liner in Black Honey and these liners in Espresso Ink and Black Plum Ink.

The new Ace Attorney game isn't out until February 20 and I've already hit a plateau with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Fucking Temple of the Ocean King. I finished Eternal Sonata a few days ago, and I'm debating whether or not to replay it in Encore Mode to get all the remaining score pieces, and possible gaming achievements.

I am intrigued by Professor Layton and the Curious Village. I'm a total sucker for these mystery/puzzle games and it comes out 10 days before Apollo Justice which might help me savor my lawyer adventures a little longer.

Karrie's picked up on a cute meme: just post a cap of your desktop.

I snagged the desktop icons here and the wallpaper from this person. I really didn't like the Cowboy Bebop movie but that was a very pretty scene, and there's enough contrast for me to actually read what my icons say. I've also learned it's very hard to find desktop wallpapers for 1680x1050 screens.

I think I've picked up a bug: I've been sleepy and achy but I'm not sneezy or stuffed up so it's not what the husband had over Christmas.

I'm currently watching Sound of Music on ABC so I've been subjected to ads for the Cashmere Mafia. I totally love Miranda Otto but the show already makes me want to slit my wrists. I guess Pushing Daisies really is the only good thing on ABC and that often borders on being twee.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is currently kicking my ass so I've been playing a lot of Beautiful Katamari which I have found easier than Katarmi Damacy.

Tell me I'm not the only one who sees this: what is going on with Luigi there?

And I am totally looking forward to playing Princess Peach.

OMG! My copy of Nintendogs is waiting for me at home.
Damn you, work. Why do I have to be here when I can be playing with puppies?!

I am currently on an old school LucasArts games kick (you can blame this on the recent Tim Schafer episode of Icons). I recently played all the Monkey Island games so I was on a search for Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango.

No luck in finding Day of the Tentacle for less than $20 but I was able to get Grim Fandango, which I am currently playing while forsaking frivolous things like food and sleep.

good lord, I'm lj-cutting spoilers for a game that came out in 1998 )

Hark! It is a text adventure based on Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.
There is free loot like an mp3 of the theme and wallpapers of bears drinking scotch responsibly.

SSX 3

The third snowboarding game in the SSX series features four new characters, including the crazy Swede Viggo.
I am so buying this game. October seems too far away.

I find it amusing that my friends page is kind of slow but I can reload the friends friends every minute and there's 5 new entries. It's been a bitch to read the longer entries though: once I click on "earlier", I see the same page because 10 new entries have appeared in the time it took me to read ONE entry.
Yeah, still at work when I have DYNASTY WARRIORS 4 waiting for me at home. *sniffle*
And the kitty that represents the "indescribable" mood just freaks the hell out of me, it looks like one of the faceless ABHs from the "Red and the Black" episode of the X-Files.
