Harry Potter Music Selections For Recorder (Recorder Included!)

OMG, I almost wish I was in fourth grade again so I could learn to play the Harry Potter theme instead of Hot Crossed Buns at my class recital.

I completely forgot that [livejournal.com profile] buttfacemakani's Snape is super hot (from her Project HBP).

I am in need of some Marauders humor now that I've finished Book 7.

Gotta love those Marauders! (no spoilers)

*sniffle*

Wow.
A Harry Potter edition of the iPod.
I don't know if that's scary or cool.

Mugglenet.com has a podcast--which I am currently downloading. We'll see if it's as entertaining as the JKR interview or the wanky Jane Yolen comments.
I've also found the Ebert and Roeper podcast and one called "The Voices of Animation" (the 90 second preview didn't give much info).
I'm still browsing through the directory; I'll probably subscribe to Slate and Al Franken later.

I'm currently skimming through the big index of HP6 wank and all I can say is "OMG, fandom, WTF?!"

The Blaise wank just boggles the mind. Now that we know this character's gender and skin color, Blaise is no longer hot? What?

And shit, the shipping wars are teh scary. HBP spoilers )

I am obviously a bad HP fan since I just found the new Goblet of Fire site, and the new teaser trailer.

I think the outfit Harry is sporting in the new poster is his Triwizard Tournament uniform. If Harry is #4, then I wonder who got #1. Too bad they didn't recycle his Quidditch number because I know the new outfit has fucked up some HP cosplayer somewhere.

Currently, I'm halfway done with my Gryffindor scarf, and I just have to sew up the ends in Jon's Slytherin scarf (ran out of green yarn so I couldn't make fringe).
I'm pretty sure I'll be done for Halloween.
OMG, I'm such a dork.

In the knitting queue:

  • A ribbed scarf in Lamb's Pride Bulky Rasberry (gift)

  • Floofy, eyelash yarn scarf in black Mikado ribbon yarn and salt and pepper Fizz (gift)

  • the felted fish in Kureyon and Trendsetter Metal and Trendsetter Eyelash yarn

  • wristwarmers in Cascade 220 Chartreuse (the color looks more like Granny Smith Apple Green); I may combine the wool with Madil Kid Seta (mohair/silk blend) to soften the wool

  • cat toys for the all cat owners I know (mostly knitty's feline dim sum pattern and the mouse pattern from Knitting Pretty)

  • a blue and white scarf in Oimochan (yarn I bought from Lydia who also gave me the fish pattern) that I have to use 20mm needles (!!!!)

Oh my gawd.
My fanfic universes have collided.
The [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_project has presented me with Maurader!Sirius/Remus dressed up as Boromir/Faramir.

Wow.

While I was looking for PoA quotes for future Harry potter icons, I came across the Slate's PoA review where the writer said, "Gary Oldman can be a terrific actor, but he's too finicky, cold, and small of spirit for Sirius Black. (Sean Bean would have been a better choice.)"

It's an interesting idea but it certainly kills all the good "I'm craaaazy Gary Oldman" jokes.

The author calls David Thewlis "enigmatically lewd." Heh.

When I started reading the Harry Potter series, I loved Scabbers. I thought he was really cute.
Then I read Prisoner of Azkaban.
Dirty rat bastard.

Huzzah! [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda has posted "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 15 Minutes".

eta: Remus is a chocolate pimp.

Me: My sister noticed Hedwig doesn't give Harry any "STFU!" looks, or look like she wants to say, "Bitch, are you for real?" in the Prisoner of Azkaban movie.

The boyfriend: It's a better movie. Hedwig's not ashamed to be in it anymore.

I really liked PoA.
And all the boys are adorable, especially Neville and Harry.
Then after the movie, we got margaritas so I'll type a review (or something) when I'm not so tipsy.

Remus + Sirius = OTP!

OMG! They've all hit puberty!
Well, with the exception of Seamus.
Most of the kids are in the NY premiere slideshow.
And I only saw one picture of Alan Rickman while there's TWO of Tim Robbins?
teapotgirl: (Default)
I've been thinking of doing a Hedwig and the Angry Inch songset with pictures of Hedwig, Harry Potter's owl.
teapotgirl: (Default)
I can't get past this picture, I really can't.
It's strangely compelling. I can't look away.

[livejournal.com profile] rickman_daily has some screen caps from the Prisoner of Azkaban trailer (Snape-centric of course).

And the Leak Cauldron has already posted links to the trailer, which means I don't have to sit through the Looney Toons movie. Huzzah!
