Weekend update
Mar. 20th, 2006 10:45 amI finally caught the Elijah Wood Intel ad over the weekend.
I'm so glad the kitty hair is back.
It's pretty obvious they got a petite actress because he barely fits in her lap. I suspect if they got someone more average-sized, it would be a little too "sitting on Santa's lap."
I also saw V for Vendetta. I've been putting off reading the comic because of my bad experience with The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (soulless tripe! soulless tripe!). The movie's a bit heavy handed and they draw 9/11 parallels where there were none in the comic (isn't it all about 80s England and Maggie Thatcher?). It's also less about anarchy and more about up with people against an unjust government. Thankfully the Matrixy effects were kept to a minimum.
Stephen Fry's in it for a short bit as everyone's favorite gay uncle (unlike Remus Lupin who is everyone's favorite gay uncle on smack). I was afraid Star Wars had atrophied Natalie Portman's acting muscles but I really liked her in it, and I like her better bald than with long hair.
And Hugo Weaving's voice so sexay.
Speaking of sexay, omgsosexy!

Feb. 28th, 2004 01:56 amIn an article about Lord of the Rings and current politics, Salon.com quotes Andrew Sullivan calling Viggo "cute but dumb as a post."
Bastard.
Bastard.
I love you, Ian
Jan. 12th, 2004 09:56 pmThe Wave: What's the weirdest fan reaction you've had?
Ian McKellen: Some of them were angry that a gay man was playing Gandalf. They called it Gandalf the Gay and were opposed to my casting. They're ignoramuses who don't know about acting. I sometimes look at slash material on the internet, same-gender sex stories usually written by young women. They write about Legolas and Aragorn getting it on.
TW: Do you read Gandalf slash?
IM: Well, I'm quite a fan of pornography. I think it's a very good idea. I think it stops people from going out and hurting each other.
--From an interview with The Wave (Liv Tyler and Elijah Wood also answer some questions)

Saw last Return of the King last night.
*huggles the trilogy*
I love Sam.
( And slightly spoilerish... )
Now, I really want to see the extended version.

So very wrong
Apr. 3rd, 2003 10:23 amI've gotten it in my head that I would very much like to make a Mojo Jojo/Bubbles OTP icon. And I do believe the world needs more XAndrew icons. It's good to know my icon muse has not abandoned me but I'd wish I could have some ideas for all those LOTR bases I have.
( Here lies LOTR slash )

Courtesy of
yaoi_names, I have now claimed one of my favorite yaoi couples: Boromir and Aragorn.
Too bad there's a one couple limit or I would have claimed Doggett/Skinner too.
(BTW, no one's claimed any of the BtVS or Angel slash couples yet).

Mar. 11th, 2003 01:28 pmBlatantly stolen from my sister's blog
People I don't know but would glomp if given the opportunity and/or if I was completely devoid of shame
Edit: Just wanted to add this is no where near a complete list.

- Sean Bean (aka Beanie, Sean Bonbon)
- Ewan McGregor
- Sean Astin
- Elijah Wood
- Karl Urban
- Kevin Kline
- Steve from Blue's Clues
- Nick Lea
- Seth Green
- Gina Gershon
Edit: Just wanted to add this is no where near a complete list.
I swear, I go through my user pics once a week now. (And I need to get around to making more of my own.)
Now it's all about the Bean action with a tiny side of Elijah and my Scully and ducky staples.
Edit: Jon just saw the new Bean pic; "Damn git," he said.
** Git is Jon's special name for Brits though it's usually reserved for Jamie Oliver.
