Why does it not surprise me that youtube has the original scene?

This all references the 1979 movie, the Warriors, about a Coney Island gang trying to make it back to their hometurf when they've been framed for the murder of a bigtime gang leader (loosely based on the Greek story of the Ten Thousand), so through each of NY's s Burroughs they have to fight rival gangs (each having a theme, my favorite being the Orphans). The big climactic scene is when the Warriors are taunted by the last gang, whose creepiest member calls out, "Warriors, come out and play-yay!" (which is the scene in the youtube link).

It is a cult film but there are a lot of recognizable faces like Mercedes Ruehl and James Remar. And RockStar (the people who brought you Grand Theft Auto) did a game version a couple of years ago to coincide with the film's 25th anniversary.

I never really "got" why this movie has such a following, on the plus side at least having watched it I got that where Jet Set Radio was stealing the radion DJ thing from XD
